Is it important to hold your promises sacred?

Is it important to hold your promises sacred? ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ”’๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

I know most of us will immediately say YES to the question. ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Well, it depends. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

Whether it is a promise to yourself or to others, to hold it sacred or not depends if it is helpful or harmful. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

A promise to someone to return a favour or a promise to self to be less judging are good and helpful. It increases your integrity and trustworthiness.

However, there are some knee-jerk promises which you have made during moments of high emotional hurt, which you might not want to keep.

Promises of revenge, self-harm, punishment or withdrawal from social interactions etc, are unhelpful yet powerful intentions made, and most often than not, wired into our unconscious. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

They linger in the background in self-fulfilling ways, showing up in our life and behaviors in 'mysterious' ways.. ๐Ÿ˜ถโ€๐ŸŒซ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ช

We may ask to be released from any promises made to ourselves or others in our present, past, or future lives, consciously or unconsciously, that are holding us back from fulfilling our greatest good.

Through meditation and mindfulness, Hypnotherapy or Time Line Therapy, we may heal from self-love, light, forgiveness, and gain the wisdom to do our best from this point forward to be true to our word. ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒŸ

This liberated energy will guide us towards making empowering promises and those that we truly mean, as we are only as good as our word. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’ฌ
