Most of us feel the deep need to fulfil our obligations, especially during the festive season.
We want to be there for our family and friends who also long for our company. We sometimes want to say no but feel guilty at the idea of not being there.
This constant feeling of being torn between should I or should I not, can create stressful incongruence within us no matter which path we finally take. We end up feeling exhausted and easily irritated.
We must always remember that our primary obligation is to take care of ourselves, and if saying no to someone else is what we have to do, then we do not need to feel bad about it.
